5 Podcast You Should Be Listening To In 2019!
Podcast have become a part of my daily commute to the desert. Sometimes I have to take a break from putting a full on concert in the car to Cardi B and Beyonce and listen to something that fills my spirit with positivity and inspiration (Not saying the Queen and Cardi don’t inspire…. look out for my car concert tour worldwide..lol) . Podcast inspire me to become better, make me laugh till I cry and at times help me get away from reality and find my release from daily stress.
I always recommend podcast if you want something to listen to outside of the normal radio or iTunes list.

What brought me to the Meet the Owner Podcast was the Tanyka Renee: " You Have To Live For Yourself; This Is Your Journey" episode. Tanyka is the goddess of taking amazing “magazineesque” travel photos on instagram. Serving perfect body and fashion goals, she manages to inspire you to travel while looking your best in all your melanin. Tanyka is one of the most sought after black travel influencers and was featured on Meet The Owner podcast. She discussed how she turned her love for traveling into a profitable brand. This was my first introduction to the Podcast world and I immediately fell in love. This particular episode sparked my interest, because of course, I love to travel and ultimately want to turn my passion for traveling into a full time job . I was blown away by Tanyka’s story! Her story is very similar to mine, she is also an only child who loves to be alone and explore the world. She talked about her journey of traveling solo and how she started taking photos with just an iPhone. Upon building a following, she then started getting compensated for her content, basically turning “likes” into dollars. She also gave tips on how to build your social media following and SO much more! Tanyka makes 90% of her income from social media. If this isn’t travel goals, I don’t know what is!

Jesus and Jollof drops soo many gems about life that you never knew you needed. I sometimes find myself listening to each episode a couple of times to make sure I didn’t miss anything important. I love every episode but one of my favorite episodes is when Yvonne and Luvvie discuss tribes. Think about the ultimate squad and the qualities you would want in all members. How real/transparent is your squad? Would your squad tell you if your weave was busted? Should you be the only successful person in your squad? Also, how do you tackle jealousy amongst friends and how do you celebrate the wins?
